Snowmobile Insurance |
News You Can Use NOTE: Vermont now requires snowmobile insurance. You may already have this coverage. Please check with your agent or insurance company for your particular policy coverage. Motorized vehicles, such as a motorcycle, an ATV, an RV, watercraft, or a snowmobile, are not covered under your homeowner's, renter's, or condo insurance policy. Each of these vehicles requires a separate policy. Be sure you're covered! Types of Coverage If you live in New Hampshire or Vermont, or your ATV is principally garaged in one of these states, make sure you're adequately covered. Your auto insurance policy may include several different types of coverage. Knowing what each of them covers can help you ensure that you get the best auto insurance coverage at the best rate. Bodily Injury and Property Damage - covers damage you may cause to other people's property and injuries to the people themselves. Collision - covers damage to your own vehicle in an accident. Comprehensive - covers fire damage to your vehicle, break-ins, vandalism or theft, as well as natural disasters (earthquake, hail, hurricanes, flood, etc.) unless the vehicle is overturned (which is considered a collision). Medical Payments - covers medical expenses for your injuries. This "good faith" coverage guarantees immediate medical payments for you, your passengers, and other parties, regardless of who was at fault. It also covers you and members of your household in any accident involving an ATV, whether you are on foot, on a bicycle, in a friend's car. etc. Uninsured Motorist - protects you if you are injured in an accident with someone who does not carry liability insurance. Underinsured Motorist - protects you if you are injured in an accident with someone who carries insufficient liability insurance.
